Wanaka has many walks and tramps within a 30 minute drive. You can have a gentle stroll around the lake, take a mildly exerting walk up Mount Iron, push it a little more and attack Mount Roy or a hike into the beautiful Diamond Lake area to name but a easy access local gems. For the more experienced we at the gateway to Mount Aspiring National Park for fantastic tramping and camping.
